Thousands pray at Al-Aqsa despite IOA restrictions

Friday 13-November-2020

Thousands of worshipers performed Friday prayer at the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque despite strict Israeli occupation authorities’ (IOA) measures that tried to prevent thousands of Palestinians from accessing the Mosque.

During the Khutba (sermon) the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque called for supporting the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and rejected all attempts to distort his image.

The preacher stressed the importance of boycotting French products as a response to France’s abuse of the Prophet Muhammad.

This comes at a time when the occupation police prevented many worshipers from the West Bank from entering the gates of the Old City to pray in Al-Aqsa under the pretext of not having the necessary permits.

Local sources reported that the Israeli police returned a bus carrying citizens from the West Bank provinces to the Hizma military checkpoint northeast of Jerusalem and prevented them from accessing the Mosque.

Meanwhile the Israeli police detained several Palestinian women arriving at Al-Aqsa at al-Amoud Gate in Old Jerusalem.
