Wednesday 29-December-2021

Three Palestinian farmers suffered injuries on Wednesday afternoon when the Israeli artillery fired several projectiles at an agricultural area in the northeast of Gaza shortly after an Israeli was allegedly injured by gunfire from Gaza.

A spokesperson for the Israeli army said that an Israeli citizen working for the army was slightly injured in a shooting incident near the northern border of Gaza.

According to the Hebrew media an Israeli suffered a bullet injury in his leg as he was working near the border fence in the northeast of Gaza.

The wounded Israeli was described by Israeli news reports as a worker for a civilian firm hired by the army for maintenance of the recently completed security barrier separating Israel and the coastal enclave.

Local sources in Gaza for their part said that an Israeli tank bombed several resistance posts on the northeastern border of Gaza while agricultural border areas in central and southern Gaza came under machinegun attack.

Three Gazan farmers from the same family also suffered injuries when an Israeli tank fired projectiles at swaths of cultivated land in the east of Beit Hanoun town north of Gaza.

The wounded farmers were rushed to Beit Hanoun Hospital for medical assistance. Later one of them was taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City because of his serious injury.
