Three Palestinians were killed and eight others were wounded by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jenin at dawn Friday.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a brief statement that three youths were killed and eight others injured by IOF gunfire.
According to local sources the three men – Laith Abu Srur Baraa Lahlouh and Yousef Salah – were killed after IOF opened fire at a car they were boarding.
Violent clashes broke out in the area following the incident. At least eight locals suffered gunshot injuries during the confrontations.
Hamas Movement quickly responded to the incident saying: “The occupation will pay for its crimes. Jenin will remain unbreakable and will continue its resistance of the occupation.”
The West Bank has witnessed growing tension in April and May as the IOF conducted almost daily military operations throughout its various areas.
