Three West Bankers injured cars damaged in settler attack

A number of Palestinian citizens suffered injuries on Monday afternoon when extremist Jewish settlers assaulted them near Burqa town north of Nablus.

According to local sources the settlers who were armed savagely attacked an agricultural event near the town destroying cars and assaulting the participants. They also fired shots at some participants.

Three local residents were wounded and four cars sustained damage in the attack.

The event was organized by local villagers to plant trees on their own swaths of land which are threatened with annexation.

Two of the wounded citizens were identified as Shadi Abu Omar and Sheikh Naser Haja (Mosque Imam). They were rushed to Rafidia Hospital for medical assistance.

Last month settlers living in illegal settlements and outposts near the town had launched over 10 attacks on local residents.
