Three citizens were killed on Friday evening by an Israeli rocket attack targeting a number of areas south of Damascus the Syrian news agency said.
According to press sources the shelling targeted the perimeter of Damascus International Airport and also resulted in material losses.
The sources added that fires were seen breaking out in the targeted area amid explosions heard in Damascus while ambulances went to the targeted area.
Syrian air defenses responded to an “Israeli aggression” shooting down a number of rockets in the Damascus countryside according to the Syrian news agency.
