Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 3 deaths and 806 new cases of Coronavirus had been recorded while 692 infected people had recovered during the past 24 hours after conducting 5621 examinations in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
According to the ministry’s coronavirus daily report the new COVID-19 victims were identified as a 75-year-old citizen from Al-Azza camp in Bethlehem an 82-year-old citizen from Idhna in al-Khalil province and a 76-year-old citizen from Ramallah and Al-Bireh province.
The new coronavirus infections were distributed as follows: al-Khalil (220) Nablus (27) Bethlehem (48) Qalqilya (38) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (92) Jenin (4) Jericho and Al-Aghwar (21) Salfit (18) Tubas (9) Tulkarem (16) the Gaza Strip (116) the suburbs of Jerusalem (62) and Jerusalem (135).
The recovered patients were recorded as follows: al-Khalil province (105) Qalqilya (19) Jenin (4) Tulkarm (5) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (148) Jericho and Al Aghwar (48) Jerusalem City (350) Gaza Strip (13).
68.1 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases is 31.3 percent and the death rate is 0.6% of the total cases.
The Minister indicated that there are 31 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units and five of them have been placed on ventilators.
