Former head of Hamas’s political bureau Khaled Mishaal met on Saturday with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha and discussed with him several issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Qatari foreign minister Mohamed bin Abdul-Rahman Al Thani and chief of the Amiri Diwan Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani as well as senior officials from Hamas.
Deputy chief of Hamas abroad Mohamed Nazzal who attended the meeting said that the Hamas delegation conveyed best wishes from head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya to the Qatari Emir and his appreciation for Qatar’ honorable positions towards the Palestinian people in general and Gaza in particular.
The delegation highlighted Qatar’s prominent and positive role in the efforts to reconstruct Gaza and support the steadfastness of its population.
The Hamas delegation also affirmed the Movement’s rejection of the deal of the century and the Palestinian consensus in this regard.
