Institutions of private sector in Gaza Strip decided to stop coordination to enter goods into the besieged coastal enclave through Karm Abu Salem commercial crossing on Wednesday and Thursday because of the deterioration of the economic conditions.
A rally of trucks kicked off from al-Zaytoun neighborhood south of Gaza city towards Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to the north of the Strip in protest at the poor economic situation.
The protest event followed invitations by the private sector to halt transferring products in light of the continuation of the Israeli decade-long siege on Gaza.
