The US president Donald Trump arrived in Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon. He was received by the Israeli president Reuven Rivlin premier Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet ministers and a number of other key figures.
The US president announced in a formal reception ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv that he has reached a historic deal for cooperation against “terrorism and extremism” after meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders during his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia. He renewed Washington’s commitment to the security of Israel.
Christian Arab scouts who were supposed to accompany the US president Donald Trump on his visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Occupied Jerusalem Monday afternoon backed out at the last minute after Israeli police demanded that they remove emblems of the Palestinian flag from their uniforms.
Trump met the Israeli president and his premier. He also visited the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Buraq (Wailing) Wall in Occupied Jerusalem.
Trump will also visit Bethlehem on Tuesday in order to hold talks with Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas.
