The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey on Monday called on the Israeli government to take measures to protect Palestinian civilians from the settlers’ attacks.
The ministry said in a press statement commenting on the provocative behavior of settlers in Occupied East Jerusalem “The provocative actions carried out by racist groups who are living in illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian territories in front of the Bab al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem are dangerous and worrying.”
It added that there are concerns about the large number of Palestinian injuries during the clashes and the arrest of some of them by the Israeli police.
