Turkey has denounced Israel over its plan to build 3100 new housing units in different Jewish settlements across the occupied West Bank next week.
“Unilateral and unlawful policies including the expansion of illegal settlements that destroy the vision of a two-state solution which is the only option for a just lasting and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian conflict must be ended” the Turkish foreign ministry said in a statement.
It urged the “international community to take action to ensure the protection of Palestinian land and the Palestinian people’s rights in order to achieve long-term peace and stability in the region.”
The ministry also condemned Israel’s decision to designate six Palestinian human rights groups as terrorist organizations describing the measure as “against the international law.”
