RAMALLAH (PIC)– Two IOF soldiers were wounded Thursday morning in a Palestinian resistance attack on an IOF patrol near the Ofer military detention camp southwest of Ramallah city.
IOF sources admitted that two of the soldiers were moderately injured in the shooting adding that the soldiers were patrolling the vicinity of the Ofer jail.
Local sources affirmed that large numbers of IOF troops combed the entire area.
Meanwhile IOF troops kidnapped 90 Palestinians in various West Bank areas over the past 48 hours in a bid to round up the biggest possible number of Palestinians apparently before the conclusion of the prisoners’ swap deal with resistance factions holding the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in Gaza.
The IOF soldiers arrested 24 Palestinians at dawn Thursday in the cities of Bethlehem Nablus Jenin and Al-Khalil and their villages mostly affiliating with Hamas or AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction.
In Bethlehem the IOF units kidnapped four Palestinians including deputy mayor of the village of Tako after ransacking his home.
IOF incursions were reported Thursday morning in Jenin and its refugee camp in addition to Tulkarm and its refugee camp. In Jenin Palestinian resistance fighters hurled an explosive device an IOF patrol that was firing at citizens’ homes.
