The Israeli occupation authority placed on Saturday two Jerusalemite brothers under house arrest in the holy city and put electronic tags around their ankles to track their movement.
Amjad Abu Asab head of the family committee of the Jerusalemite prisoners said that the Israeli police released the brothers Naim and Tareq an-Natsha to house arrest with tracking bracelets affixed to their ankles.
Abu Asab explained that the young brothers would spend the period of their house confinement in the west Jerusalem town of Abu Gush among their relatives but the Israeli court ordered their family to ensure that they stay in separate houses and to pay exorbitant money to bail them out.
The local official did not state how long the two brothers would stay under house arrest.
The brothers had been arrested on April 17 2022 during their participation in a face-off with extremist Jewish settlers in the Old City of Jerusalem.
