Two Palestinians arrested in Occupied Jerusalem

The Israeli police forces arrested two Palestinian youths in Occupied Jerusalem’s Old City on Wednesday evening.

Local sources affirmed that the Israeli forces stormed the Old City in large numbers and detained two youths. Several bystanders were attacked during the raid.

The detainees were identified as Nizar Jaber and Nizar Tofaha who were later taken to a nearby police station.

In Jericho Israeli occupation forces (IOF) forced dozens of local residents to shut down their stores in Zubaidat town after seizing the surveillance cameras.

Meanwhile dozens of armed Jewish settlers backed by IOF soldiers closed the entrance to the town preventing the Palestinian movement in both directions.

The Israeli police forces arrested a Palestinian girl and a young man in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jabal Al-Mukabber in Occupied Jerusalem on Friday evening.

Eyewitnesses told Quds Press that Israeli police arrested Najwa Adnan from Nablus while leaving Bab Hatta one of the Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates. She was immediately taken to Qashla police station.

A young man was also detained in Jabal Mukaber town after being violently attacked and beaten.

Along the same line a Jerusalemite young man was denied entry to al-Aqsa Mosque for six months after his release from Israeli custody.

Earlier Friday thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer in the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem amid strict Israeli security measures at its gates.

The Israeli police were deployed at checkpoints since the morning hours throughout the occupied city to secure the so-called “Jerusalem Marathon 2022” organized by the Israeli municipality.

The Israeli police were also deployed at the entrances to Al-Aqsa and the Old City and checked the ID cards of the Palestinians.
