RAMALLAH (PIC)– Two Palestinians were killed in the West Bank on Friday in two separate incidents; one of them during a protest in Bilin and the other in the colony of Beit Hagai.
31-year-old Basem Abu Rahma died a short while after being hit in the chest with a teargas canister fired at close range by IOF troops at the Bilin protesters who demonstrate every Friday afternoon to protest the building of the apartheid wall and were marking the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day this Friday.
Eyewitnesses said that the IOF troops fired rubber-coated steel bullets in addition to the teargas canisters disperse protestors adding that a French sympathiser was injured by one of the rubber-coated bullets and seven Palestinian protesters suffered breathing difficulties.
The injured were taken to the Ramallah government hospital.
Meanwhile Israeli military sources reported that a Palestinian youth was shot dead on Friday by a security guard in the Beit Hagai Jewish colony in the southern West Bank after allegedly trying to stab Jewish settlers with a knife.
