The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported two new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 121 new positive tests and 117 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report the two victims who died of the virus are from Gaza and Jenin in the West Bank.
Eight critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and two of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 14 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
98.2 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 0.7 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
