Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that two deaths 160 new cases with the coronavirus and 38 cases of recovery were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tubas 7 Nablus 24 Jenin 13 Qalqilya 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 22 Tulkarem 6 Jerusalem suburbs 2 Bethlehem 4 Salfit 1 al-Khalil 2 and the Gaza Strip 77.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Tubas 1 Jenin 7 Qalqilya 2 Jerusalem suburbs 2 al-Khalil 6 and the Gaza Strip 20 the minister added.
Kailah stated that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 12 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 608840 including 423549 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
