Mai al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that two deaths 521 new cases of coronavirus and 445 recoveries had been recorded in Palestine during the past 24 hours.
She indicated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that one death was recorded for a 74-year-old citizen from Burqa in Nablus and a female citizen 85 from Beit Hanoun in the Gaza Strip.
The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 88.4 percent while the rate of active cases reached 10.7 percent and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections the minister elaborated.
She pointed out that 226 new recoveries were recorded in the West Bank distributed as follows: al-Khalil 44 Tulkarem 22 Salfit 12 Jenin 29 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 91 Qalqilya 25 Tubas 3 and Jerusalem 32 in addition to 187 recoveries in the Gaza Strip.
The new infections were distributed according to the following: 18 in al-Khalil 95 in Nablus 32 in Bethlehem 2 in Qalqilya 46 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh 14 in Jenin 4 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar 19 in Salfit 12 in Tulkarem 198 In the Gaza Strip 5 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 76 in Jerusalem she said.
Kailah pointed out that there are 39 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 9 who have been placed on ventilators.
