The Palestinian health ministry on Sunday reported two new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 536 new positive tests and 156 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report the new COVID-19 victims were identified as a 68-year-old woman from Beit Jala town in Bethlehem and an 88-year-old man from Halhul city in northern al-Khalil.
29 critically ill patients have also been admitted to intensive care units and seven of them have been placed on ventilators.
67 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 32.4 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.6 percent of the total cases.
17 of the recovered patients were recorded in Tulkarem province 10 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley 128 in al-Khalil and one in Salfit.
