Two prisoners in Israeli jails suffer complications from wrong prescriptions

RAMALLAH (PIC)– The Palestinian prisoner society said that two Palestinian prisoners detained in Gilboa prison suffer health complications resulting from wrong medications prescribed by prison doctors.

The lawyer of the society who recently visited the Israeli prison said that prisoner Mazuz Bisharat 39 suffer from several health problems and does not receive proper medical care.

He added that Bisharat had undergone abdominal surgery four years ago after a jail doctor proscribed him a wrong medication and caused him to suffer incessant severe pains in his stomach.

The prisoner who has been in jail since 2003 also suffer from chronic migraine impaired vision and dental problems and has had a heart attack in 2011.

Another prisoner called Abdul-Salam Bani Odeh 37 suffer from severe pains and inflammations in his body and went into a coma twice after he was given a wrong medicine in 2008.

Bani Odeh in prison since 2002 also has other health problems including shortness of breath and severe fatigue and jail doctors keep providing him with sedatives and pain killers every time he complains about his suffering according to the lawyer.
