Special Representative of the UN envoy of political affairs and human rights Judy Barth on Friday met the Family of the Jihad official Bassam as-Saadi in the Jenin refugee camp.
“We are worried about my husband’s health especially after the last assault” Saadi’s wife Nawal said after recounting the details of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assault calling on the UN envoy to act urgently to release as-Saadi.
For her part Barth voiced her astonishment and sympathy with the family of as-Saadi. Meanwhile national figures who attended the meeting labeled Saadi’s arrest as a violation of international and humanitarian laws and conventions.
Earlier on Monday the IOF arrested as-Saadi after storming his home in the West Bank city of Jenin.
