Nikolai Miladinov the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process arrived on Wednesday 16/09/2020 to the Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Borders and Crossings Authority said in a brief statement “Miladinov and his accompanying delegation crossed the Beit Hanoun (Erez) checkpoint and entered the Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that the visit of the UN official comes as part of the UN efforts and mediation to stabilize the ceasefire agreement that was reached recently.
Miladinov interfered in the last agreement between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation a month ago sponsored by Qatar.
Egypt the United Nations and Qatar have led consultations for several months to reach a truce between the Palestinian factions in Gaza and the Israeli occupation based on easing the siege imposed on the Strip in exchange for stopping the protests organized by the Palestinians near the borders.
