UN adopts seven resolutions in favor of Palestinian cause

The General Assembly of the United Nations on Friday night adopted by a vast majority seven resolutions on the Palestinian cause.

Palestinian sources said that the General Assembly supported by 161 votes a resolution to provide international assistance to the Palestinians. Another resolution on the rights of Palestinian refugees under international law was supported by 155 members.

As for the third resolution on the role of UNRWA 158 countries voted in favor 5 voted against and 7 abstained.

A resolution concerning the Palestinian people’s property was supported by 155 members and another stipulating that Israel’s settlement construction in the Palestinian territories is illegal won the approval of 153 members.

The sixth resolution discusses Israel’s violations of human rights and it won the votes of 153 countries while the seventh resolution on the Palestinian people’s right to enjoy international protection received 154 votes in favor.
