The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Thursday that it was able to disburse $461234 for the reconstruction and repair works activities to 63 refugee families across Gaza whose homes were damaged during Israel’s 2014 military offensive.
A total of $237412 went for reconstruction while severe repair works got $223822.
UNRWA said emergency shelter including support for home repairs reconstruction and interim shelter solutions is a top priority for the group.
“The agency remains committed to supporting affected families yet requires new funding to continue the shelter cash assistance program” UNRWA added.
