Kuwait’s ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Duaij on Thursday handed $2 million in financial support to the UNRWA as part of Kuwait’s annual financial contribution to the agency.
The official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted Duaij as saying that the Kuwaiti leadership is keen to support the Palestinians through its official and popular channels.
“This Kuwaiti voluntary contribution continues for years to support UNRWA activities and programs in human development and providing relief services for the Palestinian refugees in the region and to alleviate their humanitarian suffering” he said.
The ambassador expressed hope that “the Kuwaiti support will contribute to improving the most important aspects of the Palestinian refugees’ lives such as education health and community development.”
