The Union of UNRWA Arab Employees in the Gaza Strip has warned the agency that it will have to take unprecedented unionist measures if it refused to backtrack on its decision to end contracts of hundreds of its employees.
UNRWA recently sent resignation letters to about 1000 Gazan employees working for its emergency program asking them to sign them.
The union denounced any step to be taken by the agency that would shrink its programs in Gaza and demanded it to revoke the letters it had sent to its employees.
The union also condemned UNRWA for targeting Gaza with such decision calling on the employees to refuse to sign the letters.
