The Palestinian Union of Latin America (UPAL) has announced that its second conference will be held in the Colombian city of Barranquilla with the participation of officials of different organizations businessmen artists celebrities writers and poets.
In a statement on Saturday UPAL said that the conference is slated to take place on March 18 2023 and will last for three days adding that the event aims to bring the Palestinian communities in Latin America together and pool their efforts for the liberation of Palestine from the occupation.
Head of UPAL Semaan Khouri stated that the union since the holding of its first conference had been established on democratic foundations rejecting the Oslo accords approach and believing in the Palestinian constants.
Khouri added that the union rejects the idea of making the Palestinian communities in Latin America subordinate to Palestinian Authority embassies.
