US gov’t has nothing to do with Gaza field hospital consulate says

Wednesday 11-December-2019

The US administration’s consulate in Occupied Jerusalem said Tuesday that the US government is not involved in any way in organizing or financing the field hospital on the northern border of the Gaza Strip.

In a statement aired by Radio Ajyal the consulate said the US government is aware of the establishment of a field hospital in Gaza by a private American organization but it has nothing to do with it.

The tent-based hospital which is funded by an American NGO called Friend Ships is being built nowadays as part of previous ceasefire understandings brokered by Egypt and the UN between the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza and the Israeli occupation state.

The project will contribute to alleviating the medical crisis that has hit the health sector in Gaza as a result of the Israeli blockade and the sanctions imposed by the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah.

The Hamas Movement affirmed that this project would be established with no political prices and would be under constant security scrutiny adding that the hospital would be shut down if it did not serve the humanitarian purpose it was established for.
