COPENHAGEN (PIC) — On Saturday the tenth Palestinians in Europe conference kicked off in the Danish capital Copenhagen under the title “Our Spring blossoms our Return”. It is organized by the General Secretariat of the Palestinians in Europe Conference The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) in London and the Palestinian Forum in Denmark and with the participation of many organizations and institutions most notably the European Network for the Defense of Palestinian Prisoners’ rights (Ufree).
This year’s conference is gaining great importance since it will discuss several key Palestinian issues including captives Jerusalem settlements and refugees.
Ufree announced through this conference for the first time in collaboration with a number of European and international institutions the start of a campaign to collect signatures worldwide in support of the hunger striking prisoners and their demands.
Mohammed Hamdan head of Ufree said that the signed petitions will be submitted to the European Parliament and all the European PMs as part of ongoing Network’s efforts to internationalize the prisoners’ issue.
Media Center of Ufree Network revealed that during the conference the European Campaign to Support Palestinian Prisoners’ Demands will be launched in an attempt to defend them.
The conference was held in past years in several European cities as London 2003 Berlin 2004 Vienna 2005 Malmo 2006 Rotterdam 2007 Copenhagen 2008 Milan 2009 Berlin 2010 Wuppertal 2011.
