The union of Gaza employees has called a general strike on Monday in all government institutions in the Gaza Strip to protest the Palestinian government’s disregard for the rights of its civil servants.
In a statement the union said all ministries and schools would be closed tomorrow to pressure the government to end its passivity towards its civil servants in Gaza.
“The strike will be staged in view of the persistence of al-Hamdallah’s government in ignoring and denying the rights of its civil servants and its reluctance to pay their salaries” the union added.
