Violent clashes erupted on Sunday afternoon between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Tuqu’ town to the south of Bethlehem city.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF soldiers stationed on a military tower at the western entrance to the town fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian youths.
The protesting youths reportedly blocked the town’s entrance with stones set tries on fire and threw a Molotov cocktail at a passing car belonging to an Israeli settler.
The IOF later imposed a security cordon on Tuqu’ and erected a number of checkpoints in search of the Palestinian youths.
