The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently stormed different areas in Tulkarem on Friday morning which led to the outbreak of armed clashes.

Local sources reported that Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at the Israeli forces after they broke into the vicinity of Nour Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem.

Similar clashes also broke out in Anabta town after being stormed by IOF soldiers.

In al-Khalil the IOF arrested a Palestinian young man over an alleged stabbing attempt near the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement.

Another young man was arrested after IOF soldiers stormed his family house in Bethlehem.

Violent clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) erupted on Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of Palestine Technical University (Khadouri) to the west of Tulkarem city in the northern West Bank.

The PIC reporter said that the inhabitants were called on to participate in a massive march aimed at denouncing and protesting the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The protesters headed to an Israeli military checkpoint near the university campus where clashes broke out with IOF soldiers who were stationed at the barrier.

IOF troops had summoned reinforcements since the early morning hours and unleashed gunfire and tear gas grenades towards the protesters resulting in suffocation among the Palestinian protesters.
