W. Bank clashes continue to rage in support of Aqsa Mosque

Violent clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers were reportedly raging after midnight and at dawn Saturday in different flashpoint areas in the occupied West Bank.

This round of violent clashes in the West Bank was triggered by the violent police raid on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque on Friday.

According to local sources resistance fighters opened fire at the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Budrus village west of Ramallah while homemade explosive devices were thrown at the Jalamah checkpoint in the northeast of Jenin during clashes between local youths and the IOF.

In Occupied Jerusalem clashes happened at the main entrance of al-Ram town where young men fired firecrackers at Israeli soldiers and threw stones at them.

Similar skirmishes also took place near the IOF checkpoint in Shuafat refugee camp northeast of Jerusalem.

A young man identified as Hisham Diyab suffered injuries when soldiers savagely beat him at the Shuafat checkpoint.

In al-Khalil local youths threw some Molotov cocktails at the IOF during clashes with them at the main entrance of al-Arroub refugee camp.

Youths from al-Khalil also clashed with the IOF in Beit Anon area in Sa’ir town and hurled stones at them.

The Palestinian health ministry said that six young men were evacuated to a local hospital after they suffered different bullet injuries during clashes with the IOF in al-Khalil.

In Nablus clashes with the IOF took place on main roads leading to the towns of Beita and Beit Furik and also at the Huwara checkpoint.

The IOF soldiers intensively fired tear gas grenades during their clashes with local youths in Nablus according to local sources.

In Bethlehem Palestinian youths clashed with the IOF in Wadi al-Hummus area in the east of the city while others threw homemade firebombs at the fence of the illegal settlement of Beitar Illit near Nahalin town.

In a related context Palestinian citizens from Ramallah City intend to organize a massive march in support of the Aqsa Mosque and Jenin City on Saturday evening.
