Senior Hamas official Hasan al-Wardiyan who suffers from diabetes has been refusing to take his insulin injection in an Israeli jail for seven days in protest at his administrative detention with no indictment or trial.
The prisoner’s son Diaa said that his father entered day 7 of his insulin strike to demand an end to his administrative detention which he started 11 months ago.
He added that his father suffers nowadays from episodes of severe hyperglycemia especially in the midst of the inhumane conditions in the jail.
He held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for any harm coming to his father calling for ending his detention.
