The Forum of Palestinian Doctors in Europe warned in a statement issued Tuesday of the disastrous humanitarian conditions in Khan al-Sheikh refugee camp in Damascus.
The statement strongly condemned the ongoing shelling of the Palestinian refugee camp calling for an international intervention to save the lives of thousands of besieged civilians.
The Forum also called for providing international protection for the Palestinian refugees who were forcibly displaced from the camp.
The Forum stressed the urgent need to enable safe passage for the injured and sick people who are in dire need for medical treatment.
Safe passage for medical and food supplies is urgently needed the statement said.
The Forum appealed to the international community to bear its responsibilities towards Palestinian refugees in Syria.
