Israeli occupation authorities on Friday decided to extend the hermetic closure on West Bank and Gaza Strip until Sunday.
The decision came during a snap meeting between Israeli officials to discuss responses to the Elad attack which has left three Israelis dead so far.
The closure was put in place on Tuesday afternoon and was supposed to end overnight Thursday-Friday.
The closure of the Gaza Strip and in particular the restrictions on movement of Palestinians between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank recognized by the international community as a single territory is together with Israeli policies in East Jerusalem and area C part of a general Israeli policy of fragmentation of the Palestinian territory which is undermining the Palestinian right to self-determination.
