Women among several anti-occupation activists kidnapped by Israel army

Friday 14-December-2018

Scores of Palestinian activists and members of Hamas resistance movement were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday in predawn abduction sweeps rocking the Palestinian territories.

The Israeli military wreaked havoc on civilian homes and came down heavily on the locals.

A number of journalists attempting to cover the assault were heavily beaten and have had their cameras taken away by the occupation forces.

Member of the Palestinian Legislative Council Mohamed al-Tal along with a number of ex-prisoners were kidnapped by the IOF from al-Khalil’s southern town of al-Dhahriya.

The sons of the jailed Palestinian MP Mohamed Abu Ejheisheh Mutawakil and Muadh and his nephews Raafat and Rauf Abu Ejheisheh were also kidnapped by the occupation forces from al-Khalil city.

Israeli forces rolled into Beit Kahel and Yatta towns east of al-Khalil and kidnapped a number of Palestinians before they summoned two ex-prisoners to questioning.

At the same time Israeli soldiers kidnapped the Palestinian woman Sabah Fer’oun from her home in Jerusalem’s town of al-Izriya. Sabah had served a 20-month administrative sentence with neither charge nor trial in Israeli occupation jails and was released less than one year ago.

Meanwhile ex-prisoner Yasser Mansour and university lecturer Mustafa al-Shunar along with other Hamas activists were kidnapped by the IOF from Nablus. The list also includes journalist Mousa Ezheiman.

The assault culminated in the abduction of scores of anti-occupation protesters and activists from Bethlehem.

In the meantime the occupation army provided security shields for dozens of fanatic Israeli settlers who took to the streets overnight and vandalized Palestinian property and vehicles north of al-Khalil.

The occupation forces further seized cameras and cell phones of journalists Raed al-Sherif Mus’ab Shawer and Thaer al-Fakhury as they covered military violence and clashes in al-Khalil.
