A Palestinian youth was killed and others injured at dawn Wednesday as Israeli warplanes bombed several locations in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
Reporting from Gaza a PIC news correspondent said Israeli warplanes targeted a group of Palestinians gathering north of Beit Lahia north of Gaza leaving one young man killed and several others wounded.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the casualty as Naji al-Zaanin 25.
At least three persons were evacuated to hospitals after the Israeli military struck Rafah city.
Sounds of heavy blasts were detected prior and during the morning school shift in the blockaded enclave resulting in a state of panic among schoolchildren a number of whom were hit with shrapnel west of Rafah city south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army spokesman claimed a rocket from Gaza landed in Beer Sheba and resulted in material damage.
