Lawyer Khaled Zabarqa has said that the decision to renew the travel ban on Sheikh Ra’ed Salah head of the Islamic Movement and prohibit his entry to Occupied Jerusalem falls within the Israeli escalation against the holy city and the Aqsa Mosque.
According to Quds Press Zabarqa stated that banning Sheikh Salah from traveling abroad and entering Jerusalem for five months is an arbitrary and illegal measure and constitutes part of Israel’s malicious decisions against him.
“This decision is aimed at preventing Sheikh Salah from continuing to serve Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque” he added.
He noted that it was not the first time Sheikh Salah was barred from entering Jerusalem and traveling abroad affirming that he had not been able to enter the holy city or travel to other countries for many years.
Israel’s right-wing interior minister Aryeh Deri on Tuesday issued orders renewing the ban of traveling abroad and entering the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem for five additional months on Sheikh Ra’ed Salah head of the Islamic Movement in the 1984 occupied lands.
