Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar has said that a high-level delegation from the Movement led by Ismail Haneyya deputy chief of the political bureau are holding meetings nowadays with Egyptian officials to discuss mutual relations.
Zahhar made his remarks in a symposium held in Gaza on “The future of the inter-Palestinian relations following the Beirut and Moscow meetings.”

He expressed hope that the meetings between Hamas and Egyptian officials would culminate in success.
Zahhar also noted that there were previous understandings between his Movement and Egypt on certain mechanisms to control the border areas but Hamas refused to accept some points that would not serve the resistance.
