Hamas will never forfeit a single inch of Palestinian land the group’s political bureau member Mahmoud al-Zahhar said on Monday.
“No attempt to force us to give up a single inch of our motherland which has been occupied by the Zionists since 1948 shall come true no matter the costs” said al-Zahhar.
“Palestine is not anybody’s or any government’s property. It belongs to all Muslims and we are its faithful guardians” the Hamas leader added.
On December 6 the U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in a move believed to be seeking to alter the status quo across the occupied Palestinian territories. The recognition sparked universal condemnation and protests.
