GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar the former PA foreign minister and a prominent Hamas leader has strongly criticized Ban Ki-Moon the UN’s secretary-general for being fully biased in favor of the Israeli occupation at the expense of the Palestinian rights calling on him thereby to resign from his post.
“We are following with great concern the UN’s biased steps towards the conflict in the Middle East in a way contradicting the assigned role of UN in maintaining security stability and justice in the world according to the international laws and conventions” Zahhar stated in a statement received by the PIC citing in this regard the UN defense of the Israeli practices and crimes against the Palestinian people and even justifying them.
The Hamas leader underlined that Ki-Moon ignored UN rapporteur for human rights John Dugard’s calls for investigating the Israeli atrocities in the Palestinian lands and this means that he turned the UN into a supplement to the US state department which works on inflaming the situation in the Middle East.
The Hamas leader also said that the Israeli crimes should haunt the conscience of the UN’s secretary-general especially the Palestinian victims killed daily by the IOF troops the prisoners tortured in Israeli jails and the economic siege imposed on thousands of poor families and patients who are in dire need of medicines.
