UM AL-FAHAM (PIC)– The Aqsa Foundation (AF) catering for Islamic shrines on Monday charged “Zionist fanatics” with attacking an Islamic cemetery in Bisan and breaking almost 30 headstones.
The Foundation’s statement lashed out at the Israeli police force for not acting to prosecute the culprits despite filing many complaints.
A team of the AF on Sunday toured the cemetery after hearing of the news and saw for itself the destruction of those tombstones.
The team members said that the attack was not old recalling that the AF maintenance section had sprayed insecticides in that same graveyard almost a month ago.
The AF team took photos of the attack and filed a complaint with the police and added that it was the second of its kind in the past three years. It said that the Omar mosque in Bisan was burnt on 10/3/2004 which caused the collapse of the entire mosque’s roof.
