The Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB), in partnership with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Friends of Al-Aqsa, and the Muslim Association of Britain, organized a massive rally in support of Palestine on the 22nd national demonstration.
This pivotal rally took place at noon Saturday at Park Lane, London, and marched towards Whitehall, where a major rally was held.
The demonstration served as a unified stand in solidarity with Gaza, which continues to endure devastating aggression, and in opposition to the escalating violence in Lebanon. It also amplified calls for accountability, demanding that war criminals and their enablers be brought to justice.
Timed to coincide with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, this demonstration comes at a historic juncture following the International Criminal Court’s recent issuance of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This unprecedented move underscores the growing international recognition of the need to confront and address Israeli war crimes.
The PFB strongly condemned the disgraceful and insensitive statements made by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy. Their remarks not only seek to minimize the ongoing suffering of Palestinians but also fail to acknowledge the systemic violence and oppression faced by the Palestinian people. Such rhetoric stands in stark contrast to the global movement for justice and accountability.
Among the notable speakers at Whitehall:
● Jeremy Corbyn – Independent MP
● Kim Johnson – Labor MP
● Dr. Ahmad Mukallalati – Palestinian Doctor
● Khalid Abdalla – Acclaimed Actor
● Juliet Stevenson – Renowned Actor
● Halima Begum – CEO of Oxfam
Additionally, Fares Amer delivered a speech on behalf of the PFB, one of the organizers of the national march.
“Let us stand united in demanding an end to the aggression, justice for the victims of war crimes, and a future where the Palestinian people can live in freedom and dignity,” the PFB statement concluded.
