The spokesman for the Hamas Movement Dr. Abdel Latif Al-Qanou said the failure to implement all the terms of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement “does not help moving forward towards accomplishing the release of the rest of the Israeli prisoners.”
Al-Qanou said in a press statement on Monday, “The resistance will not deal with any new negotiations unless the Israeli occupation is committed to the agreement and implement the first stage entitlements.”
He stressed that the one who hinders the implementation of the entire terms of the agreement is Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu, who works for his personal agendas and does not care about the life of the rest of the prisoners.
Al-Qanou added that the failure to implement the human protocol and the postponement of the release of prisoners of the seventh batch is evidence of the Israeli intention of disrupting the agreement.
He stated that talks are ongoing with the mediators on the Israeli repeated violations and its procrastination in the implementation process, saying, “we are awaiting their response”.
Al-Qanou called on the mediators and the international community to put more pressure on Israel to save the ceasefire agreement and prevent Netanyahu from disrupting its provisions.
