During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of five martyrs, who were reported missing during the war, as well as four citizens who were killed in fresh Israeli attacks.
According to Gaza’s health ministry on Monday, 16 citizens were also injured during Israeli attacks or by unexploded ordnance during the past hours.
The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to 48,467 martyrs, the health ministry stated.
The ministry added that the number of the wounded also surged to 111,913 people.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more martyrs who are still missing in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
In a related context, Palestinian media sources reported today that an Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians in the northeast of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing two of them and injuring others, with some of them suffering from critical wounds.
This deadly attack happened shortly after a civilian was injured by Israeli gunfire in Rafah in southern Gaza.
An Israeli gunboat also fired a projectile near the Gaza seaport, injuring a fisherman in his thigh.
