The Hamas Movement expressed its full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership, government, and people following the unfortunate explosion that occurred at Shahid Rajaee Port in the city of Bandar Abbas.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hamas extended its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims, praying for Allah’s mercy upon them and for a swift recovery for the injured.
Hamas also affirmed its complete confidence in the Islamic Republic’s ability to overcome the repercussions of this painful incident and to continue its path of construction and progress.
At least 18 people were killed and 750 injured in a massive explosion on Saturday at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, southeastern Iran.
The port’s customs administration stated that trucks had been evacuated from the area and that the container yard where the explosion occurred likely contained “hazardous goods and chemical materials.”
