Human rights sources announced on Wednesday the martyrdom of Muhammad Ismail Al-Astal as a result of brutal torture in Israeli prisons.
Family sources told the PIC that the Addameer Prison Support and Human Rights Association informed the family of the martyrdom of their son, Mohammed Al-Astal, 46, due to torture in Israeli prisons.
According to the family, the occupation forces arrested Al-Astal along with other Palestinians from the Al-Agha family after storming the Mircato chalet in Mawasi Khan Yunis on January 8, 2024, and subjected him to brutal torture over the past months.
The martyr’s child, Ismail, was previously martyred in an Israeli bombing in Khan Yunis.
The martyrdom of Al-Astal brings the number of martyrs among identified detainees who have been held in Israeli jails since the start of the annihilation war to 67 martyrs, including one child and at least 41 martyrs from Gaza, other than dozens of unidentified Gazan martyrs who are still held in Israel’s custody.
