Israel erases an entire family from the records of life

In a land without walls or a roof, the lives of an entire family ended and were erased from the civil registry in the Gaza Strip without prior warning, due to a treacherous Israeli raid.

Mu’tasim Al-Alami (33 years old), his wife Nada Abu Shaqra (29 years old), and their two children, Muhammad (4 years old) and Kinan (3 years old), were martyred at dawn Sunday inside their tent after being targeted by a warplane in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.

The raid did not leave rubble… but rather left a void that nothing can fill. The tent in which the family sought shelter from the bombing had nothing to protect them except some cloth and a small dream of survival. But death came from above them, robbing them of life all at once.

Eyes that speak the unspoken
Muhammad Al-Alami, the father of the martyr Mu’tasim, stood among the people at a silent funeral, his eyes speaking the unspoken.

He said in a broken voice to our correspondent: “I couldn’t bury them alone, I felt like I was burying my soul with them. Mu’tasim was a part of me, Nada was my daughter before she was his wife, and the two boys were the light of the house.”

He added: “Muhammad was smart, always asking me: ‘Grandpa, when are we going back to our house?’ And Kinan never left his mother’s lap… Today they are gone, just like that? Like that? Without even a word of farewell?”

For what sin were they killed?
“I want to understand… what did they do? For what sin?” “We thought the tent was safe, but we were wrong, even the tent is no longer safe.”

Mu’tasim was just a simple father, displaced, trying to protect his family in a time when no one is protected.

Nada concealed her pain with a smile and hid her tears from her two children. She used to say to her neighbors: “I want my children to keep feeling that there is life… even if we are in a tent,” but the plane did not wait for the little ones to sleep.

His brother, Amin Al-Alami, said, choking: “I arrived at the sound of the bombing, I ran while praying that they were alive, but I only saw a burnt tent, burnt children’s toys, and a terrifying silence.”

Haj Muhammad finished his speech, trembling: “I wish I had died in their place, may Allah take me and leave them. I am old, they are still at the beginning of their lives, there is nothing enough to console me for them.”

This is not just a story, this is a complete catastrophe, four martyrs, a tent that disappeared, and a father standing in the middle of the void, asking the world: Who will bring back my son? Who will bring back my grandchildren? Who will bring back my life?
