OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– An Israeli judge has decided on Thursday to deny Sheikh Raed Salah the head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948-occupied lands entry to the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The decision was apparently spurred by the IOA dissatisfaction over the growing influence of the Sheikh who opposes the IOA diggings at the Aqsa Mosque in igniting more protest activities against those excavations at the Mosque.
Although the Israeli occupation police acknowledged that the Sheikh hadn’t violated earlier court verdict banning him from publicly convening with more than seven persons at once; yet the police added Salah was able to attract more supports for his cause.
On Thursday the Israeli occupation police arrested Salah at his tent in Wadi Al-Joz suburb and led him to the court where the judge decided to totally ban him from entering the occupied city for 90 days.
However the judge decided to temporarily prevent Salah from entering the city till the 29th of this month before he officially issue the 90 days ruling.
For his part Salah’s attorney Khaled Zabarka charged that the verdict was politically motivated and that it has no legal basis affirming that his client hadn’t violated the law.
Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Sheikh Mohammed Hussein raised more fears over the diggings accusing the IOA of defying a call from the international community to halt the excavations.
He maintained that the IOA diggings considered as blatant aggression on the entire Muslim Ummah and that leaving those excavations to continue is “something unacceptable under international laws and conventions”.
Similar condemnation remarks were uttered by Palestinian chief justice Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi who urged the international community to be more active in pressuring the Israeli occupation government into halting those diggings.
“The Aqsa Mosque became hanging in the air as a result of the Israeli diggings under its foundation” the chief justice charged.
Meanwhile the Aqsa foundation disclosed that the IOA were dumping historical landmarks it demolished at the Aqsa Mosque in dumping site in Jerusalem accusing the Israeli occupation government of undermining feeling of more than 1.4 billion Muslims worldwide.
